Dr. Drewnowska has a Ph.D. in clinical biochemistry and a M.Sc. in pharmacy.She has almost 30 years experience in basic and clinical research. Dr. Drewnowska completed her postdoctoral training in the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and thereafter served as a faculty member there, the first in the Physiology Department and then in the Division of Nephrology. She has remained on the adjunct faculty since her departure in 1998. From 1998-2004 Dr. Drewnowska served as CEO and Research Director of a private clinical research company in Virginia. Thereafter, until joining Bostwick Laboratories in 2006, she has served as Corporate Director of Clinical Research at Meridian Health Corporation in New Jersey. Dr. Drewnowska has published numerous articles on kidney and cardiac transport and metabolism, and she has presented her work at many scientific meetings. She also has co-authored several book chapters on kidney function. Dr. Drewnowska served as a pharmaceutical industry consultant for many years and has participated in the management and oversight of hundreds of clinical trials.
