Dr. Leroy Mell received his PHD from West Virginia Univ. in analytical and clinical chemistry and his MBA from Frostburg University. He has completed post-doctorial training in clinical pharmacology and pharmacokinetics. He is retired from the US Navy where is last duty station was as the Executive Officer of the Naval Medical Research Institute in Bethesda, MD. He has over 30 years experience in clinical laboratory medicine including most recent positions as Technical Director for New England Operations for LabCorp and Director of Pathology for Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. He is very active in laboratory professional associations to include serving as the current Chair of the Management Sciences Division for AACC. He is board certified by ABB as a CLIA High Complexity Laboratory Director.
