Dr. Michael has been the medical director of Gastrocor’s Florida laboratory since May 2005. She received her fellowship in gastrointestinal and liver pathology under the direction of Gregory Lauwers, M.D., at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Dr. Michael is board certified in both anatomic and clinical pathology.

Prior to joining the Gastrocor division, Dr. Michael was an associate pathologist at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida. Dr. Michael has over 25 years of experience in laboratory medicine and is a CAP inspector.

p>Dr. Michael is the 2009 president elect for the American Osteopathic College of Pathology (AOCP). She chaired the 2005 AOCP conference at the Unified AOA National Convention in Orlando, Florida. She was a key speaker at the 2004 National Conference in GI Topics in San Francisco covering “Practical Differential of Colitis and Case Studies in GI.”
