Dr. Ali graduated from Khyber Medical College in 1968. She completed her pathology residency at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut. Dr. Ali holds medical licenses from the states of Connecticut, Florida and Maine.

She received certification from the American Board of Pathology and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. She is also affiliated with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, and the College of American Pathologists.
