RESOLVE™ COMPREHENSIVE COLPOSCOPY

Gynecor’s™ Resolve™ Comprehensive Colposcopy is a more efficient process on an old standard. Using only two vials, it returns five times the results of other labs’ colposcopies that report on histology from the tissue biopsy alone. Gynecor’s™ unique fixative enables both cytology and histology to be run on both vials, and HPV is also tested off of the same specimen. When HPV is detected, genotyping is also reported.

Colposcopies are used to detect high grade lesions and when found, the entire organ is treated. This makes the time consuming process of mapping each biopsy specimen unnecessary. In addition, the mucus that is cleared away before the procedure is often discarded, causing valuable information to be lost.

Gynecor™ strives to eliminate this inefficient method by collecting all the possible information in only two vials. The first vial is used to return the cells collected on the two Endocervical Cytobrushes provided (ECB). The second vial is used to return ALL of the biopsy specimens in one.

Cancer can be found in either the tissue or the cell sample returned, and results are correlated for a more definitive diagnosis. Gynecor™ is also able to pinpoint where abnormal uterine bleeding is coming from, be it the cervix or the canal. In addition to HPV, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea can also be run at the same time.
